Safeguarding

Commitment to Safeguarding

At Talkback we are committed to protecting all our members, staff and volunteers. We therefore use a whole organisational approach to positive Safeguarding and Wellbeing.

We actively promote Equality and Diversity, creating a safe, friendly and open environment that eliminates discrimination, bullying and harassment.

We work in accordance with the regulations and specifications laid down by the Local Safeguarding Children’s and Adult’s Boards (LSCB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). Training and development is effectively built into the Talkback safer recruitment and induction procedures, as well as staff and volunteer development programmes. Safer working practices are embedded into all our Programmes and activities.

Safeguarding is deemed to be the responsibility of all members of staff, volunteers and our Trustees and appropriate training and development is mandatory.

We expect our partners and visitors to share our commitment in helping us keep our members safe by ensuring that all security and safety protocols are followed and a culture of open communication is created, putting the welfare of our members at the centre of everything we do.
