Activities

Other sessions will include exercise, planning, shopping, and cooking healthy meals, self-soothing techniques, trips to community facilities such as food hubs, shops, and cafes.

Classroom

We will be working both in and out of the classroom, reinforcing learning by linking in with community partners and services.

Easy Read

We use easy read resources, and every member will receive an Energise workbook to record their weight and set goals.

Exercise

Every session will include exercise, such as dance or yoga run by a qualified coach.

Make friends

We encourage people to make new friends and build positive relationship so the group can support and motivate each other.

Why is it important that parents and carers attend?

We know from our pilot Energise programme that for weight loss to be successful each person needs all- round support both from the group and at home. We know that helping parents and carers to understand how best to provide support and promote independence is key to this.
