Members of our Performing Arts Academy took to the stage to perform our own unique take on a Christmas Carol, peppered with, what only can be described as ‘dad jokes’. Everyone had a wonderful time, acting, dancing and singing. The cast really were super stars and wonderfully supported by the backstage work from members and staff, who helped with set design, costumes, choreography and script writing.
We were delighted that around 100 people attended the performance. We raised £170 through our raffle and The Accessible Workshop sold around £300 worth of items, they had been making especially for the festive season.
Our Chief Executive, Jay Hay, commented: “What a great event. At times I found it incredibly moving. It reminded me why we do, what we do and it inspired me to do more. I am so so proud of everyone involved – managers, staff and especially our members. Well done everyone!”
