On the 5th February, Jodie and Sophie from our team, attended the Buckinghamshire Council Post-16 SEND Opportunities Showcase, held at the council’s main office in Aylesbury.
This event was aimed at young people from Year 9 upward with EHCPs, their parents/carers, and the professionals who worked with them across education, the iSEND team, social care, and mental health.
It provided an opportunity to explore alternative post-16 specialist education options and supported internships, along with support from information, advice, and guidance providers.
We had the pleasure of talking about our own, unique Post-16 Specialist Provision. Backed by over 25 years of experience, we offer a nurturing, flexible alternative to other traditional education settings, designed specifically for young people with an EHCP, aged 16-25, who are autistic or have a learning disability. We have a track record of supporting young people to succeed. Over 540 students have successfully completed our programme over the last 10 years, reaching their aspirations and personal and academic goals.
