Make sure you can vote in the General Election

With the General Election taking place on the 4th July, it’s really important to make sure you are set up so that you can cast your vote on the day.

The United Response website, which is linked to below, provides an easy read guide to voter information. This website includes information on how to register for a postal vote and how you now need to have photo ID with you on the day.
The website, also links to the My Vote My Voice website, which gives a step-by-step guide about politics and why it’s important to make sure you have your say.
If you’re looking for a little bit of advice on what to look for from a candidate when voting, our Chief Executive, Jeremy Hay, suggests:

“Ask any candidate what will they do to help change the situation for the autistic and learning disability communities. In the last 25 years sadly very little has changed.”
