Festival of Sport and Fun, introducing Netpositive

Come and meet Netpositive, a truly inclusive Netball Club.  They have players with a variety of disabilities and special needs across a range of ages.

Netpositive was started by Tracey Vincent in 2021 to provide netball to a wider community that wouldn’t normally be able to access a sport such as netball.

Tracey’s life in netball started in the late 80’s when she was about 8 years old, playing in a community group. She went on to play for many years in her local league.  Following numerous injuries, she decided to use her netball knowledge and started coaching.  She gained her level 1 coaching award before going on to complete level 2 in 2019. She has coached junior teams within the HWDJNL where she also played a role on the committee to help provide netball to juniors in the local area.  She’s now the Chair of that junior league and provides netball for under 11 to under 16s at a competitive level regularly on a Sunday morning at Kingsmead Netball center in High Wycombe.

She started Netpositive when her autistic son asked if he could play netball.  There was nothing locally for special needs, or even clubs that took boys.  She was joined by coaches Elaine and Amy to build the foundations of the club so they can offer a safe environment for all their players.  They currently offer weekly training for ages 10 to 18 and are looking to progress into over 18 sessions soon.

Netpositive Netball Club is fully inclusive.  They have players with a variety of disabilities and special needs across a range of ages. In their training session they provide a variety of games and activities, enabling players to gain confidence, coordination, and the skills required to play netball.
