COVID Update – 28th February 2022

Here at Talkback, we continue to follow the Department of Health and Social Care COVID requirements and continue to do our best to keep face to face services in place. Due to the higher risk nature of health and social care settings, the advice for staff members working in these settings, or members visiting our premises, has not changed.

Although, there is no longer a legal requirement for people with coronavirus (COVID-19) infection to self-isolate, the public health advice for people with any of the main symptoms of COVID-19 or a positive test result is to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

What we are doing

Our premises are cleaned twice a day and our equipment/resources are cleaned at intervals in between use. We have a robust COVID 19 Risk Assessment in place and we ensure our activities’ risk assessments comply with COVID measures. Alongside this, our staff follow a weekly testing regime.

However, there are some additional COVID measures which are required by everyone coming onto our sites. These will help with infection control and to keep everyone safe.

What do we expect you to do?

  • We recommend that you take a LFT test before you visit.
  • Wear face coverings (unless exempt) whilst on our premises.
  • Keep as sensibly distanced as possible.
  • Follow the Catch It, Bin It and Kill It guidelines when suffering from common winter colds.
  • Wash hands frequently and use the hand sanitisers provided.

For everyone’s safety please do NOT visit Talkback if you have an infectious condition or COVID 19 symptoms and are waiting for a test result.

The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

  • a high temperature – feeling hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).
  • a new, continuous cough – coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours. If you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual.
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything or things smell or taste different.

Please do not visit our premises if you have been in close contact with, or are a member of a household of, someone who has tested positive. Kindly contact a member of staff to rearrange your visit.

You can still engage with us via our virtual sessions/meetings/events. Please just contact a member of Talkback staff for further details.

We would like to thank everyone for helping us keep our staff and members safe.
