Hello, and welcome to the Talkback Advice Bureau.

My name is Sue, and I’m here to direct you through the website.

Please scroll down and click just once, using your mouse, on the sections that you are interested in.

When you’ve made your selection, click on it and it will bring up a brand-new page.

At the top of the page, you will see 2 boxes, one will say Main Menu and another box will indicate which area you are currently looking at.

You may be looking at transport or support, these boxes tell you what page you are on.

If you want to go back to the main menu at any time, you can always click that button, main menu.

Using your mouse, you can scroll down and look at the suggested ideas or services.

When you have made your selection, click on it just once and this will open another page.

On most pages, we offer a 5-step guide, offering you some tips on personal safety.

You will also find, links to known providers or services.

If you want to contact services directly, you might want to ask someone to support you.

On the main menu, there is a section called ‘Need help?’ ‘Talk to TAB’, which provides contact details.

Do call us or email us if you need further help.

There is also a section called ‘Stay OK.’

This is a Bucks County Council service, that is designed to help you stay safe.

It has lots of information on it, and you may wish to ask for some support to help you send emails or make phone calls.

18 onwards:
Adult Social Care Funded Provision

Amongst other services, we provide:

  • Personal development and social skills
  • Independent living, including cooking and general household tasks
  • Practical skills, including woodworking and other trade-based activities
  • Travel and money management training
  • Relationship development and creating social networks
  • Sports and wellbeing, including mindfulness, healthy eating and managing anxiety
  • The Performing Arts – drama, dance, music and arts.
  • Employment – full time and supported
  • Art Therapy
  • Social friendship groups

16-25 years old:
Education Provider

Amongst other services, we provide:

  • Education support to individuals in colleges including Bucks College Group, Berkshire College of Agriculture and Reading College
  • Individual Learning Packages based on an individual’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes
  • Bespoke, community life skills education support packages
  • Creative opportunities using expressive arts, creative media and a variety of social groups
  • Relationship guidance and help building social networks
  • Life skills training to move towards independent living
  • Travel training
  • Employability skills building
  • Work experience and Supported Internship opportunities

Up to 18 years old:
Transitions work

Amongst other services, we:

  • Provide individual and group transition programmes to help people move from school to college and minimise anxiety
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to mainstream schools with a SEN department, and to specialist schools for secondary ages
  • Offer bespoke Travel Training packages for schools
  • Help co-create sport-based partnerships
  • Run parent and carer information events
