Your views needed for the Buckinghamshire Autism Strategy

We are working with Buckinghamshire Council to seek feedback on how local services are working for autistic residents. This feedback will help guide Buckinghamshire’s new All-Age Autism Strategy.

Buckinghamshire Council and partners understand that a lot has changed in the last two years and now is a great opportunity for people’s views and opinions to be heard.

To make sure we got a wide range of views, we set up three different surveys.  One for autistic people, one for parent or carers of those with autism and one for people who support those with autism in a professional capacity, these surveys have now closed. Thank you if you gave your views.

To get more in-depth feedback, we are holding a series of workshops where you are welcome to come along and talk to us about your experiences of living with autism in Bucks.

These will take place on:

June 20th 6pm – 8.30pm
This workshop was due to be held at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury. However, due to demand, this workshop will now be held online via Zoom.

June 22nd 12 noon – 2.30pm

June 27th 6.30pm – 9pm

Online sessions – 7th July
We are running 90 minute online sessions at 9.30am, 1.00pm and 6.30pm.

Spaces are limited. To book your place, whether it’s for an online or in-person workshop please email autismviews@talkback-uk.com. We are also able to offer 1-2-1 sessions, if this is something you would be interested in please just email.

To help Buckinghamshire Council, create a strategy that truly serves the needs of autistic residents, we need to collect as many views as possible. So please do share with friends, family, service users and colleagues. The more responses we receive, the more opportunity there will be to inform the way that the Council carries out their work in relation to autism services and support.

If you have any questions or would like to book a space on a workshop please email caroline.morris@talkback-uk.com or autismviews@talkback-uk.com. You can also call Caroline Morris on 07419 989006.

We look forward to hearing what you have to say.
