UK Charity Week, Give 5 Day

As part of UK Charity Week’s (4th-8th December), Give 5 Day, we thought we would give you five ways you could help support us and the work we do.

1. Buy from The Accessible Workshop

The Accessible Workshop is our social enterprise and provides our members with a wide range of woodworking and practical skills. It teaches them how to plan and manage projects, as well as how to market and sell the products they make.

Each individual works to clear and structured plans, with each project treated as a commissioned piece of work. The income generated by the products they sell, is then reinvested back into the enterprise or is used to aid charitable partners that we work with.

Our members of The Accessible Workshop have created some wonderful festive gifts to buy, you can view and buy them here.

2. Volunteer

At Talkback, we need volunteers to be able to keep giving our Talkback members the opportunities they deserve. You don’t need social care experience to volunteer for us. You just need life experience.

We need people who can help our members, learn how to use public transport, how to visit the gym, how to cook or how to manage their money. People who can provide help on how to develop skills working with wood, tools, and machinery. Or people who can help our members explore their feelings and emotions, looking at how to manage them through mindfulness, exercise or talking.

Please get in touch if you would like to help.

3. Make a donation

We are committed to developing a world of opportunities for autistic people and those with a learning disability. But in order to provide the best opportunities we can, we need funds, and this is where you can help! By making a donation, you can help us make a real difference to the young adults we support. Even a small donation can make a huge difference.

4. Support us through the Buckinghamshire Lottery

The Buckinghamshire Lottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Buckinghamshire. By playing the Buckinghamshire Lottery you can support Talkback and win prizes yourself – it’s that simple!
