It’s a fair fight, for a good cause

We are delighted to get behind one of our volunteers, Jay Severgnini, who is literally willing to fight for us!

Jay, who has just started volunteering for Talkback, has begun training for a boxing match and will be fundraising for Talkback at the same time.

At just 18 years old, he has signed up to take part in Ultra White Collar Boxing programme, which involves eight weeks of boxing training, before taking part in a  fight on November 11th in Milton Keynes.  In the run up to his fight, Jay will be raising money for Talkback.

Jay said: “I’ve seen first-hand the incredible work Talkback do to support autistic people and those with learning disabilities. The money I raise will help Talkback fund its Back to Nature sessions which, in collaboration with The Parks Trust in Milton Keynes, get people outside and walking to relieve anxiety, learn about the environment and make new friends. Each £150 raised will pay for one Back to Nature session. I hope to raise as much as I can for Talkback.”

We work to provide opportunities for autistic individuals and people with a learning disability. Our  goal is to support and empower individuals to experience personal growth, contribute to their local community, and live fulfilling lives.

We can’t thank Jay enough for being willing to fight for us in this way. If you would like to support his fundraising efforts you can do so through his Just Giving Fundraising Page by following the link below.
